9/10 Murchisonfjord: Kinnvika research station
Day 7:
80.01° N The Most North
We arrived to a well sheltered bay on the northern side of the Murchisonfjord. It was covered with thick snow. It was extremely cold.
The research station built during the International Geophysical Year 1957-59 mainly as a Swedish-Finnish effort. The station was quite substantial, with no less than 10 buildings spread over some area in case one of them would catch fire.
We were so color organized! We made the whole rainbow.
Vertical solar panel
Graffiti inside the cabins.
The wind was so strong, took my print right away.
